For a disorganized mess of a storm system, this one sure managed to throw a solid swath of rain our way. Even if it did come on a Saturday full of outdoor events, the rain did prove to be beneficial. Plus, it seems like it will be courteous enough to let us have a dry second half of the weekend.

A U.S. Olympian from Michigan has won the HealthPlus Crim Festival of Races' 10-mile event.    Dathan Ritzenhein of Rockford led the men's division of the 40th annual road race in Flint on Saturday with a time of 47:23.
